If you only have an idea without a track record, who is going to take you seriously?
We decided that to get this project off the ground, we needed to find a location, a site on which we could start. We needed a place to test our ideas.

Dec 2016 - The bright area on the photo is the location of our project site today.
There was a farm for sale in Paarl. It was a Protea farm that had been destroyed by fire in 2016.
In 2020 we purchased the farm. Now we have an opportunity to try out our ideas, to see if we can do what we think we can do.
The site fits the profile. It's located on a very steep slope, in a ravine. It was a forest previously..

April 2017 - After cleanup - project site. (Looking down the mountain)
Today the site is overgrown with alien trees.

July 2020 - A forest of alien Port Jackson Willow - project site. (Looking up the mountain). Remnants of indigenous Wild Peach, Wild Olive and Cape Saffron trees.
Follow our journey to see how we succeed.
